Dinner Theater

A Message from your director, Caroline Diano:

Attention Dinner Theater Participants:

Attendance for rehearsals have been poor at best. We have a lot to get done between the scene and the music, and these things cannot get done without a full cast every time. If you have no interest in participating, please tell us and we will remove you.

This In-between Week Schedule...

First off, I must congratulate everyone on this weekend's performances. They were really great and everyone's hard work and dedication really show when looking at the set or the quality of the show in general.

On that note, today we had notes at 2:45 in the auditorium. It was mandatory and was announced Sat. night in Greeenroom, so if you weren't there today, please see Gaelle for any notes you might have. REMEMBER, EVERYONE MUST BE WEARING SUNGLASSES IN THE OPENING!

Tuesday, 10/30
3-6 pm
- Tech in the auditorium.
- Rehearsal in the LT for all understudies and anyone else involved in scenes with understudies (this should basically be the full cast). These scenes will be from the 1st half of the show.

Wednesday, 10/31
3-5 pm
Yes, we know it's Halloween, but Sal feels strongly that a breif rehearsl is necessary for the understudies.
- Rehearsal in the Auditorium, Full cast for Semi-Brush-Up.
This will end at 5 pm sharp. We're sorry for having to take up some of your Halloween afternoon, but at least by 5 it will still be light out and you can still have the whole night to have fun. Sorry guys, none of us want this.
Furthermore, Sal has made this 3-5 rehearsal MANDATORY for the FULL CAST and says that those who decide not to show-up should decide not to audition for the next two shows.

Schedule Update and Headshot Information...

Hello everybody!

Well, this week has been very busy so far, but it will continue to be very productive. Costumes are finishing fittings and continuing to pull costumes and make alterations, the little showcase is done (YAY KATE!!!) and the big showcase is undergoing a major paint job that has been needed for four years... so far it looks great (Toby, Megan, James, Vanessa, Ryan etc... have been working very hard to finish it). Lights are hung and circuited, the stage is built and the balcony is in the process of being built, the audience risers are up, the pit isn't a wreck, paint is almost done basing the Masonite for the stage... although a lot is done, we are somewhat behind and have a lot more work to do.
Therefore...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Tech Night (by invitation only) (check the board for possible sign-ups) Wed. 10/17 from 7:00-9:30 pm.
- Tech Night Thursday, 10/18 (Open to all students) from 7:00-9:30 pm.
- Tech Night Friday, 10/19 from 7-10 pm. MANDATORY FOR ALL STUDENTS* PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS THE START OF HELL WEEK AND ATTENDANCE IS COMPULSORY!!!!
*Saturday morning are the PSAT's. All students who are taking the PSAT's are exempt from tech night on Friday. Please sign your name on the list on the board if you will not be attending Friday night due to PSAT's (Sophs. and Jrs.)
- Tech Day Saturday, 10/20 from 12 noon to 4:00 pm, MANDATORY FOR ALL STUDENTS! Any students who were taking the PSAT's will have an hour lunch break.
*PLEASE BE DROPPED OFF AT THE DRAMA DOORS ON SATURDAY IN CASE THE PSAT'S ARE STILL GOING ON.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Finally, since we have not had time to do our head shot fundraiser, one of our photography students will take temporary head shots of all cast members for this program. The dates are as follows:
BOY HEAD SHOTS will be taken WEDNESDAY (today) after school, starting at 2:45.
GIRL HEAD SHOTS will be taken on THURSDAY (tomorrow) after school, starting at 2:45.
Students should wear LIGHT colored clothing with NO WRITING on the front. The background will be dark. Also note, these photos will be in black and white.

Please note, the head shots being taken now are temporary and are being taken on a regular camera. They will be used for this show only. The real head shots, to be taken by our resident professional photographer, will be taken sometime soon after closing for a small cost, as a fundraiser. Although you may opt to use this temporary head shot permanently or submit your own head shot (which is permitted), please note the professional head shots will be done with a professional camera, can be printed to full 8 1/2" X 11" photo and can be re-touched. And again, this will be a FUNDRAISER so every body wins! (We make some money and you get high quality head shots at a very discounted price.)

If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me at brancatojeff@yahoo.com.

Post-Tech Day Review

Hey everyone,

For the most part, tech on Saturday went really well. We got a lot done and although we have a long way to go, we defnietly got a great head start.

However, there was one issue that needs to be addressed. We understand that everyone has to eat at sometime during the tech day. However, when tech is three hours (12:30-3:30) like it was on Saturday, there is no "lunch break". You are getting here at 12:30, so please eat before hand (obviously, Sr.s who took SAT's are exempt from this rule). A 45 minute lunch break kills a lot of vauable time, especially for such a short tech day.
Furthermore, the condition of our spaces was DISGUSTING at the end of Saturday's tech. There was garbage EVERYWHERE. Starbuck's Cups, Cookies, wrappers, etc... Some of it was picked-up last minute while we locked up, but there was still too much garbage, ESPECIALLY IN THE AUDITORIUM WHERE FOOD IS PROHIBITED!!!
Please please please please please clean-up your garbage. I know it can be put-off while working, but just as important as it is to build and do you work, is as important as it is to clean-up before you leave.
-Thanks!
