Announcements + Schedule

Announcements

Conflict Policy: Tech Week begins on FRIDAY. This means no conflicts, no exceptions. Please ask your teachers for work in advance, and go to extra help this week instead of next week if possible. Latenesses and absences really slow us down, and they will not be excused except in the case of emergencies. This is On Tour policy, and failure to be prompt during Tech Week affects both your grade and your hours / Thespian points for the show.

Costumes Announcements: Every cast member MUST create a costume "cheat sheet" for the show. This lists each piece of your costumes, when you wear them, where you change, and if any are quick changes. A sample will be hung on the call board. These will be due some time in the next week, after the costume parade (date/time TBA). You are responsible for handing the management two copies, one for Sal and one for the costumes crew. Anyone who does not hand one in will not be receiving a grade in their drama average for the show.

Monday

Blocking with Sal, 3-6 pm

Tuesday

Vocals with Bill, 3-5:30 pm & 6:30-9:30 pm

Dancing with Robert, 5:30-6:30 and 7:30-9:30 pm

(Those in "Polka" + "Dancin'" will be with Robert, the rest of the cast with Bill)

Wednesday

Leads with Bill, 3-5:30 pm

Running ALL scenes in Harmonia Gardens (2-2), 6:30-9:30 pm
(Including waiters!)

Thursday

Vocals with Bill, 3-4:45 pm
Running numbers with Sal, 4:45-6 pm

Dancing with Robert, 7-10 pm
(Full cast)

Friday

Vocals with Bill, 3-4:15 pm

Costume Parade, 4:15-6:15 pm

Tech night, 7:15-10 pm

Saturday

Full cast rehearsal (specifics TBA), approx. 11 am - 4 pm

(Please note that you MUST eat beforehand or bring lunch for a short lunch break. We do not have time to allow everyone to go out.)

Updated Schedule

Announcements

If you have not yet handed in your character analysis & money, and shown the management your makeup & shoes, please do so before or after rehearsal. Remember, shoes must be worn at every rehearsal from now on.

Additionally, the costumes crew would like to announce that everybody must bring a pen and paper to fittings to record their costumes notes (pieces, changes, specific instructions). All cast members will have to hand in a costume Cheat Sheet, so these notes will help you with that. Also, women who haven't done so need to find corsets and begin wearing them to get used to dancing with it on.

(All of 1.2 and 1.3, plus the dialogue during the waiter's gallop in 2.2)

Thursday (2/25)

Full cast with Bill, 3 - 6 pm

Polka + other numbers as needed (assume full cast), 7 - 9:30 pm

Friday (2/26)

Full cast with Bill, 3-6 pm

Tech night, 7 - 10 pm

Saturday (2/27)

Dance brush-ups as needed, 11 am - 3:30 pm (please bring lunch with you)

Schedule

Cast Announcements

We hope you had a good break! The show opens in 15 school days, so get ready to step up the pace.

Character analysis, cast money, makeup, & shoes were supposed to be due tomorrow, but we are giving you an extra day. These will all be checked on TUESDAY (2/23), but if you have them tomorrow we will collect/check as well.

We will be doing a lot of choreography and dance run-throughs this week so please have your dance clothes & shoes in school at all times.

3-6 pm: Full cast
Running everything we have blocked so far

Tuesday

3-5:15 pm: Full cast with Bill

5:15-6:00 pm: Waiters brush up with Robert, + Polka couples

7-10 pm: Full cast brush-ups with Robert


All other days TBA
(Please keep your schedules clear. The show is in 2 1/2 weeks and conflicts must be kept to a minimum -- assume you will have rehearsal at the very least from 3-6 pm every day.)

There will be an official tech night on Friday.

Character analysis, makeup, shoes, & money ($5 underclassman, $10 senior/mgmt) are all due the MONDAY WE RETURN FROM BREAK, FEBRUARY 22.

From that day forward, you will be expected to wear your shoes at every rehearsal!

The memorial service is on Thursday from 7 - 9 pm.
