End of the year crews

OTC crew applicants:
Strike will be this MONDAY June 3 after school. Crews will be decided after strike, attendance and performance at strike will play a huge role in final decisions. 

Crew chiefs: 
Please be available this Monday, June 3. The officers would like to meet with the crew chiefs to get their input on End of the Year Crew decisions.  Please come prepared with a sample list of your ideal crew positions for next year. Decisions will be made after strike. Thank you! 

One Act Lighting Cue Schedule

Any group can rehearse from 2:00 on in any space that is NOT the Little Theatre.

A note from Rena


Thank you, thank you, thank you!  I was beyond surprised to be inducted as an honorary Thespian on Thursday evening– and elated beyond words.  Talk about a bucket list item… I also want to thank everyone for the beautiful Coach bag – another item crossed off my bucket list – my first Coach bag.  It was extremely unnecessary, but I promise I will enjoy using it and always think of OTC when I do!

 

I have loved my many years of involvement with the OTC – even those embarrassing moments with prop purchases – and look forward to continuing to support the program.  It has been my pleasure to work with all of you!  XOXO, Rena Cohen Kozin

SENIOR PROJECT PERFORMANCES IN JEOPARDY OF CANCELLATION

Due to the high number of seniors violating the senior cut day rule( Hayley Ross & Physics trip pre excused) I am obliged to enforce the rule that excludes consideration for the final performance. Since that means cancellation of the Final Senior performance or limiting it to two or three shows I have decided on the following exception to prevent cancellation: THE RESEARCH PORTION INCLUDING ALL RESEARCH MATERIALS /SCRIPTS WITH THE PROPER DOCUMENTATION MUST BE SUBMITTED ON TUESDAY MAY 28th TO ENSURE YOUR CONSIDERATION FOR FINAL PERFORMANCE. THIS INCLUDES GOTTA SING GOTTA DANCE, SING PORTION. IT WILL BE EXCLUDED FROM THE SCHOLARSHIP PERFORMANCE AND IT WILL BECOME GOTTA DANCE/ GOTTA ROCK. This is the first class to violate the policy on so large a scale and I am so disappointed considering what an amazing year it has been and what a wonderful night last night was. It is a disservice to each cast and your project and the program especially considering the shorter calendar.

One act/dance show rehearsals

Anyone that needs to use rehearsal spaces this week (little theater, auditorium, b167, dance studio, choir/band rooms when cleared by T & Sardo) needs to reserve a time slot for each day they want to rehearse. Please contact Jenna (462-3457 or jennazomback@hotmail.com) to reserve a spot. LT rehearsals are limited to 25 minute slots until dress rehearsal. Spots will be first come first served. If you want to rehearse outside these spots you can use hallways or rehearse at someone's house. Rehearsal spaces will be unavailable from 6-7 every day for dinner break. Please please please schedule today so I can let sal know when he needs to be there.

Elections

Good luck to everyone running for officer positions! We are no longer accepting letters of intent. All candidates should prepare speeches up to two minutes in length, or one minute for your drop down speech (please mention in your first speech that you are dropping down so people know). Just so you know, if there are run-offs, the run off speeches will be a maximum of one minute as well.

All thespians and thespian inductees are encouraged to attend elections on Monday after school in the choir room.

End Dance will be at the end of Monday or Tuesday, Party Dance will be done when we get to it in the scene. If there is an evening with no AP following we might do it then for an hour.

Thespian Points

Everyone who hasn't handed in a list of their outside activities (crescendo, express yourself, outside shows, dinner theatre etc.) MUST hand in a list to hayley by Monday or they will not be counted. We want to get the list of inductees up as soon as possible so we really can't make any exceptions. This only relates to activities and performances outside on tour- please do not record anything you have done within the program as this has already been recorded (with the exception of dinner theatre.) If you have questions as to which activities count, ask Jenna, Julia, or Hayley before Monday.
To give you a tentative schedule for the coming weeks, the thespian list of inductees will be posted next week, elections will be during intermission week, and Shakespeare auditions will be during intermission week as well.
