Freshman Orientation, Street Fair, Macbeth

FRESHMAN ORIENTATION
Hello all, well school is around the corner and things are starting up again. The First thing for the new school year is the New Student Orientation which will be Thursday September 4th at 3:00. If you don't remember from last year this is the day where we give a tour of the building to the On Tour Freshman. Please All Freshman this is mandatory that you come as it is incredibly beneficial for you to know all the workplaces of On Tour. And for all Crew Chiefs and Assistant Crew Chiefs it is also mandatory that you attend as you will need to explain the responsibility of your crew and your position on the crew.

STREET FAIR
The Merrick Street Fair is September sixth and and seventh from 10am to 4pm. This is a great opportunity for to get hours early in the school year. We have posted a sign up sheet in the room for anyone interested in attending the fair. Each work section is in two hours intervals and jobs that you will have to do include Handing out promo cards, working the booth, and selling t-shirts and raffles. Also we will have a face painting booth, if anyone knows how to face paint, please see and Officer within the first week of school to tell them. Once again if your interested in working the street fair we have posted a sign-up sheet on the Call Board, this is a great chance to get some Hours.

MACBETH
Letters of intent for Macbeth Assistant Stage Managers will be due September 10th, we have posted an envelope on the Call Board for anyone interested in applying for the position. All you need to do is submit a letter stating why you should be the Assistant Stage Manager. Please note that anyone in the cast cannot apply for this position and it is also open to any grade. Being an Assistant Stage Manager is a great way to get involved in the show. It will be mandatory for the Assistant Stage Manager to be at every rehearsal and take notes and blocking from each rehearsal. During the actual run of the show assistant stage managers will be back stage handling props and costumes. If you have any questions regarding the position of Assistant Stage Manager or the letter of intent for Assistant Stage Manager do not hesitate to talk to any of the Officers, or the Management for Macbeth.

See you all in a Week!

Macbeth Rehearsals

Hey Guys, hope everyone is enjoying their summer, but unfortunately school is around the corner. Which means rehearsals will be starting soon. That being said...

We have posted the tentative rehearsal schedule for Macbeth on the Officer calender. This should give you a good idea of what we will be doing each week. Now of course each day's rehearsal can be changed based on Sal's Discretion, so although we are giving you an idea of what the run will be like it is still imperative you check the call board everyday to make sure you know what will be rehearsed the following day.

Please, since you know the rehearsal schedule limit your conflicts, we will talk more about that at the first rehearsal and remember no conflicts during hell week

Any question feel free to email me PatMazzella@gmail.com

Have a great summer and see you all soon!

Scripts & Picnic

The scripts are finally copied and will be distributed this week. We [Megan H. and Alex L.] are probably going to deliver them people's houses so we can get them out as soon as possible.

ALSO, save the date for August 27th (Wednesday), as this is the date for our Annual On Tour Officers' Picnic. The picnic will take place in Julian Lane Park (in South Merrick) from 2:00 - 4:30. The rain date will be the following day (Thursday, August 28th), same place same time. Directions will be posted as the picnic approaches. Incoming Freshmen/New Students will be receiving a notice in the mail within the next week. There is also a facebook event posted.

Incoming Freshmen/New Students: RSVP via email to otcofficers@gmail.com with your name in the subject line, just so we have an estimate of how much food to purchase.

HOPE EVERYONE IS HAVING A WONDERFUL SUMMER AND CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU ALL AT THE PICNIC.

Last Day of Strike

We had a good turn out for strike today but with only one more day we still have a lot to do. The Next strike will be Friday June 20th at 3:30. Extra Credit is still being offered to anyone who attends and if the new Crew Chiefs and Assistant Crew Chief fail to come, positions can and will be revoked. That being said we have a lot to do and a little time to do it, so we need all the man power we can get.

Extra Credit!!!!

Did you not hand your projects in on time? Did you not get enough hours in the 4th marking period? Did you not finish a project you started during strike?Do you think your grade is low?

If you answered yes to any of these questions then you should come down to the final three days of strike. That would be Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We will be having strike to clean up our three areas (The Drama Room, Little Theater, and auditorium) we still have a lot of work to do on these three area's especially the prop room and pit!!! Mr. Salerno is offering extra credit to anyone who comes any of the three days and attendence will affect crew positions

Since it is regents week however we can't start until 3:30, so all strikes will begin at 3:30 and go till about 5-5:30, We would really appreciate it if everyone could be there cause we have to get our places clean for the summer.

Hope to see you all there!
