Freshmen- really attentive and great at your workshops... we know they aren't the most exciting things in the world, but you guys really paid attention and it will pay off. Upper classmen- great job as well with getting some stuff done and runnig workshops. I know there wasn't too much in the way of tech to be done today, but what did get done was productive. Parent Boosters
Hey everyone,
So, this is kind of unusual for a blog post, but I'm hoping this well help...
As you all know, we have a GREAT parent organization that helps us so much throughout the year. From refreshments at shows, to our Musical raffle, to Dinner theater, to buying us computers, a LCD TVs, color printers and wood for sets etc... they help us an extreme amount throughout the year.
Now is the time where parent membership cards are being sold. Clearly, membership is not mandatory and parents can still participate and volunteer without being members. However, a card costs only $15 and will give your parents two discounted tickets to the opening night performance of every show. This year, we are striving for 100% Booster-membership. When other organizations that are larger than us, such as sports boosters, have 100% parent membership, it is not an unreasonable goal for us. Nothing looks better for us, both through the eyes of the community and the district administration than to have a parents booster organization that has the support from every parent of every student. It legitimizes us in many ways that we probably don't even realize.
Please remind your parents to send in their membership dues to our Parent-Booster treasurer (and my mom), Cheryl at 2893 Joyce Lane in Merrick. Membership forms will also be available at Back-to-School night tomorrow. Remind them how important their support is to us, and remember, a simple $15 from each family can and will go a long way to helping us achieve success this year in all aspects of On Tour.
See you all tomorrow (Thursday) at the 2:45 meeting!
-Jeff

STREET FAIR Conclusion
OK, so, in total, On Tour made approximately $800 from the street fair. This is an AMAZING way to start off the year. This money can (and will) go towards purchasing a variety of different items that we will need throughout the year... well... for R&J.
Below is a list of people that have been put on the list to receive hours for working at the Street Fair. Please make sure you are on the list if you worked. PLEASE NOTE, these hours will be added in by the scribes, so you DO NOT need to record them on an hour sheet. Also note, that the max number of hours we gave out was 10, corresponding to a total of 16 possible hours you could have worked. Your hours will be scaled accordingly.
If you want to know how many hours you received, please see Caroline (per. 1 and 3) or Alex (per. 5 and 9) on FRIDAY (9/21). DO NOT ASK THEM BEFORE THIS!!!
So yea, make sure your name is on the list below to receive hours. IM me at ALLTHEATER4ME if you are not on the list.
Kate C., Amy C., Chelsea G., Allen W., Lindsey S., Carly S., Alex S., Alyssa O., Jen K., Eli K., Alexa S., Lindsey W., Anthony M., Aly V., Ali L., Chris D., Leigh Anne M., Alex D., Jordyn G., Amy D., Liz T., Justin G., Amanda M., Ariella S., Megan W., Julia S., Valerie M., Leah E., Amanda G., Emily F., Meagan S., Alexa B., Cassidy F., Max F., Ali C., Hannah G., Amanda D., Christina L., Sarah B., Sara K., Nicolette K., Toby N., Kevin Z., Amanda B., Seth B., Jon R., James C., Megan R., Alyssa K., Colin B., Megan H., Ryan H., Joe V., Nicole M., Jeff B., Marc S., Caroline D., Alex L., Pat M., and Adam E.
Once again, if ANYONE worked on Saturday, Sunday, or BOTH and does not see their name on the list, please IM me ASAP!.
I also would like to thank all of the parent who donated their time and baked goods to help us do so well.
Thanks again for all of your help guys!!!
