Bill cannot come on Monday.

Callbacks for Into the Woods will be WEDNESDAY 11/19.

No idea when he'll put up the callback list, but word on the street is it is longer than the one for Candide.

No idea when cast lists will go up or when rehearsals will start.

Callbacks

Callbacks for Candide will be tomorrow, Friday 11/14 2:30-5:00
One can only assume the list will be up by 2nd period.

Callbacks for Into the Woods will be on Monday 11/17 2:30-5:00.

First rehearsal of Candide will be on Wednesday 11/19.

So... We should probably find out the cast lists by Wednesday.

Veteran's Day?

So it appears we do not have school on Tuesday, i have just been informed that apparently we have some holiday called "veteran's day", I've never heard of it =p, however, what this means is that the Thespian point meeting scheduled for Tuesday will now take place Monday after school in the Drama room, please be their as this is Mandatory for all Crew Chiefs.

Also just remember that Wednesday and Thursday are auditions for both musicals, and keep Friday on your calender open for a tentative Call back date.

I apologize again for the scheduling error, and hope it doesn't mess anyone's week up to much =)

Thespian Point Meeting

We will be having our first Thespian Point Meeting on Tuesday November 11th  immediately after the Crew Chief Meeting. All Crew Chiefs must be there, it is mandatory!

Thespian Convention

Macbeth

We will be having a meeting of all people performing in the Thespian Convention on Monday 11/9 at 3:00 in the Auditorium.

Its Over... It's Starting

MACBETH

Let me start of by saying congratulation to the Macbeth Cast and Crew on a great run. You guys really pulled through in every aspect of the production. As the first show of the year it's always hard to shake off the dust of summer and you guys really made this show all it could be and it showed.

Unfortunately when shows close there are sets that need to be taken down. Strike will be happening Monday November 3rd at 3:00, Strike is Mandatory for the entire company, and is a great way to get hours before the quarter ends for everyone else. The quicker we finish the quicker you guys can go home.

CANDIDE + INTO THE WOODS

Auditions for the two musicals will take place on November 12th and 13th at 3:00. Please for auditions prepare 16 bars of ONE song that demonstrates the ability to sing legitimate serious music. The song should show your best range as the scores for both are near classical in quality. Music composed by Sondheim, Bernstein that fulfills these requirements is recommended but any classically oriented composer is acceptable. Some Lerner & Lowe, Rodgers and Hammerstein and even Andrew Lloyd Webber may work. Others may also work. Please check with other students if you are unsure.

Please note that attendance at the Macbeth strike will affect casting. If you have a conflict see Emily

After performance there will be a Dinner Theater Rehearsal

12:30 - 3:00 Candle lighting (the more on-time we start, the more time you get to speak)

Important Notice for the Cast of Macbeth

Tomorrows Rehearsal will be in Costume.  That means we will wheel the Costume Racks down, Do not take your costumes without permission. If you have your shoes bring them in.

Homecoming

The homecoming parade was rescheduled for this weekend, we are looking for volunteers who would like to walk with the Drama banner, and hand out candy and such. HOURS are available for those who participate and if you bring in candy you will also get hours. We will be meeting at the Merrick Train station around 10:45 on Saturday. More information will be poster on the Call Board on Friday.

Improv and Dinner Theater

Improv

 Tomorrow October 3rd at 7:30, all participants will be called for 6:30 in the Little Theater for a brief Improv Warm-Up. 

DINNER THEATER 

This year’s dinner theater is set in a Medieval Banquet

The entertainment for the evening will be an assortment of Music and Theater

Auditions will be held Wednesday October 8^th at 3:00 in the Little Theater

Everyone interested in being apart of the Dinner in anyway should attend

This is a great way to get involved and be apart of the show

The Following parts are needed

A Jester: The MC for the evening, must be prepared to improvise

6 to 8 Vocalists: Please be prepared to Harmonize with 6-8 other people

Sword Fighters: People interested in Stage Combat, or have previous experience

Anyone with a special talent: Such as acrobats or juggling or magic.

Actors: Anyone interested in doing perhaps a short scene or a monologue (Shakespearian or Medieval, Mandatory comedic) please have it prepared for the audition.

Ensemble- As needed

Rehearsals for Dinner Theater will begin within the next week after casting
